Contactless payment on the Underground

Does your proposed payment method rely on your mobile phone?

Ensure that its sufficiently charged up to be used at the beginning and end of your entire journey.

You can only benefit from the Pay As You Go Daily Capping if the same payment method is used at all journeys within the day.

If you have to switch to a contactless card or Oystercard, you will lose this benefit.

Should you not have a contactless card or Oystercard ready to use, you could even be unable to pay the fare and liable to a Penalty Fare.

NOTE: Oystercards are available from a variety of retail outlets for a small fee, where they can be topped up with the amount you require.
