If you need to fill in a range of headings, or a column of data, Autofill can really save you time. It can be used for consecutive numbering, days of the week, months of the year, years (such as 2014, 2015 …..) and much more. As long as you have at least the first 2 entries, Excel can generally guess how to continue the series.
Here’s an example of how you begin:-

After typing in the first 2 items, select them and then hover with your mouse over the small black box at the very bottom corner, then hold down your left mouse button.
As you drag your mouse to the right (along Row 1), Excel will guess that you wanted Room 3, Room 4 …. and fill them in. As long as you keep your left mouse held down, additional Room numbers will be added – release button to see the result as shown below:-
