It is still available to purchase from www.microsoft.com as a one-off purchase.
Office 365 subscriptions
By comparison subscriptions are ideal for users who want to be able the above software on a number of different devices – not just PCs and Macs (or a MacBook), but also iPads, iPhones and Android tablets and smartphones. It also gives you access to cloud storage with the OneDrive with 1 terrabyte of space.
I use the Personal subscription as I have a single email address. This is what it gives me:-
